Adding the Agent Install File
Create an agent installation file for Windows or Mac
OS, or upload an existing agent install file.
You can do the following in
Agent Install
File:
- Creating an agent install file for Windows OS
- Creating an agent install file for Mac OS
Add an agent install file for Windows or Linux to the server. To add
and agent installation file:
- On the Settings
> Agent > Install File page, click Add.
- On the popup window, fill in all the required
fields under the Default Settings
tab.
- Select Windows
or Linux.
- Select to create from New
or Existing, depending on
your need.
- Enter the file name. The file name can be up
to 15 characters and cannot contain special characters other than
dash (-) and underscore (_).
- Select whether to display the installation
process on the agent.
- Hide all (Default):
Hide the installation process.
- Show the install
page only: Display only the first installation page.
- Show all: Display
the entire installation process and let the user specify the agent
installation path.
- Select the action to take in case the agent
is already installed.
- Uninstall existing
and replace only if version is higher (Default): Check the version
of the installed agent and replace only if the installed agent is
older.
- Do not install:
Do not install if an agent is already installed.
- Uninstall existing
and replace: Remote the exiting agent regardless of the version and
install with the new version.
- Install Path: Specify the agent installation
path. The default path is %PROGRAMFILES%\AhnLab\CPP Agent\1.0. Or
select the Enter manually upon agent
installation check box to allow the user to specify the install
path.
- Management Server Address: Select the Enter manually upon agent installation to allow
the user to specify the path.
- Select the Specify
Group check box then Select
to specify the groups to install the agent.
Note
You can add policies to the agent install file from Policy > Policy.
- Under the Connection
Settings, enter the required information if the server is in
the Nat environment. When the server is in NAT, the server IP is private
meaning that the agent will not be able to connect to the server.
In this case, you must create more than one network port for the server
to communicate with the agent.
- Public IP Address:
Enter the server's public IP address. It must be in the same network
as the agent's IP address.
- Enter a description of the agent installation
file.
- Click the Policy
Settings tab.
- Select the policy to include to the install
file.
- Click OK.
- Check that the file is added to the install
file list.
Check the Agent Install File
To check that the agent install file is correctly added:
- Go to the https://Server
IP and access
the install download page. E.g. https://172.20.30.219
- Check that the install file is correctly added.
- Download and install to test whether it is correctly
added.
- Once you have checked that it is correctly added,
you can notify the download URL to users.
