Setting Application Method and Interval

You can set recommended application method and recommended interval of IPS Signature.

IPS Signature Recommended Application Method & Interval Settings

The method to set IPS Signature Recommended Rules application and recommended interval is as follows:

1. Select Settings from the main menu on the top side of the web screen.
2. Select Automatic Analysis > Application Method & Interval from the left menu.

• Recommended Rules Application Method: Select between Manually and Automatically for the application of IPS Signature Recommended Rules.

• Manually: Recommended rules will be created. To actually apply them to an agent, the admin must assign manually from Policy.
• Automatically: Recommended rules will be created, and will be delivered as policy application command to agent.

• Recommended Interval: Select between 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks for the IPS Signature Recommended Rule Application interval.
• Apply Recommended Rule Now: Create IPS Signature Recommended Rules starting from the time of clicking.

3. Click Save to save settings.

Due to the time differences of the set recommended interval and the IPS Signature Recommended Environment Automatic Analysis interval, the actual applied results on the agent may slightly differ.
