Setting the Update Server
Set the security product update server and the update
settings. You can download the latest engine and patches from the update
server.
Specify the following settings
in Server Update:
- Security Product Update Server
- Security Product Update
Update Server Setting
To set the security product
update server:
- Go to Settings
> Update Server > General.
- Set the following settings for the update server:
- Update Server: Select the server to update
the security product - AhnLab Update Server,
CPP Server or User-defined Server.
- AhnLab Update Server: If you select AhnLab
Update Server, you can download two engines (OES and SES) to support
dual engine.
- CPP Server: In an air-gapped network with no
internet connection, you can use a server as an update server by manually
uploading patch files to the server. If you want to use CPP Server
as the update server, you need to manually upload the latest engine
and patches. The files will continue uploading in the background even
when you close the upload window, and Login
Timeout will not take effect.
- Upload Server File: Click manually update the
engine file. Click Browse... and
select the engine file to upload. Upload the engine file to the server
to register it with the server.
- Upload Engine/Security Product File: Click
Browse... and
select the patch file to upload Manually update the patch file. Upload
the patch file to the server to register it with the server.
- User-defined Server: Designate a server as
an update server. The server address must start with http:// or https://
and must be in form of an IP address or domain address. E.g. http://asd.com
- Use the proxy server: Connect to the Internet
via proxy server for updates.
- Server IP: Enter the proxy server address.
The server address must be in IPv4 or IPv6 format.
- Port No.: Enter the proxy server port number.
The port number must be between 1 and 65535.
- User ID: Enter the proxy server's login ID.
- Password: Enter the proxy server's login password.
- Set the following options in Update Options:
- No. of Updates Per Hour: Enter a number between
1 and 60. (Default: 6)
- Max. Retry Attempts: Enter a number between
1 and 10. (Default: 5)
- Update Prevention Time: Set the time to disable
the agent from downloading and installing patch files. Specify a time
when the network is busy or inside working hours to prevent inconvenience.
- Days of week: Select the applicable days of
week.
- Time: Select up to 5 periods from 00:00 to
23:00.
- Click Save.
Note
Engine or patch files will continue uploading in the background
even when you close the upload window, and Login Timeout will not take
effect.
