Setting IPS Signatures Update Server
Specify the server that will update the signature. By
specifying the update server of the signature, you can download the latest
signature file from the selected server.
The
main features that can be found from the IPS
Signatures are as follows:
IPS Signatures
Specify the server that will update the signature. The method to specify
the update server for the signature is as follows:
- Select Settings
from the main menu on the top side of the web screen.
- From the left menu, select Update
> IPS Signatures.
- Specify the required items.
- Server for IPS Signatures: Select the server
that will be updated with the signature update file. For the update
server, you can choose from AhnLab Update Server,
CPP server, and a User-Defined Server
assigned by the admin.
- AhnLab Update Server:
If AhnLab Update Server is specified as the default server, you can
download both OES and SES to support dual engine.
- CPP Server: Download
the signature file from CPP server. Manually uploading the signature
file is a method that can be used in an environment when it is difficult
to use the internet, such as in an area with a closed network. You
upload the signature file on the server and use it as a signature
update server. If you specify the CPP server as the update server,
you must manually upload the signature file. When manually uploading
the signature file, closing the window will move the process to the
background and will not be affected by Login
Timeout.
- Upload Signature: Manually upload the signature
file that will be updated. Press Browse...
to select the signature file
from the location where the signature file is saved. Upload the country
DB file onto the server, and after it is registered to the domain,
register the signature file to the server.
- User-Defined Server:
Configure a separate user-defined server to receive update file.
- Server Address: Enter the path where the update
file is uploaded. Enter the server path that starts with http://(https://)
which is also a valid IP address or domain name.
- Use the Proxy Server: When updating, connects
to the internet through the proxy server. Set the proxy server when
you need to use the proxy server to connect to the internet to update.
- Server Address:
Enter proxy sever address. Enter a valid IPv4 proxy server address.
- Port No.: Enter
the Port No. used in the proxy server. Enter a value between 1 and
65535.
- User ID: Enter
the Login ID of the proxy server.
- Password: Enter
the password to the Login ID of the proxy server.
- Click Save located
in the bottom of the web screen.
