Distribution Package
The distribution package allows the user to register
the general software as distribution package for a domain, group or agent.
The general software distribution is done right after the program registered
in the agent is downloaded, and can be distributed by operating system
type. The distribution package can be registered in the sequence of compression,
registration, and OTP authentication. If a file without a digital signature
is included, registration cannot be done.
The
followings are the main features available
in Distribution Package.

Note
You can search by the distribution package name from the
list of distribution packages.
Distribution Package
You can check the distribution file name and distribution
status from the distribution package. You can check the package distribution
status as follows.
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Distribution Package from the menu. You can check the details
about the distribution package from the distribution package screen.
- Distribution Package Name: Displays the name
of distribution package. The name entered while creating the distribution
package.
- Distributed: Displays the number of agents
where the distribution is completed Click the number to move to Management > Agent Status to display Agent Information .
- Failed: Displays the number of agents when
the distribution is completed. Click the number to move to Management
> Agent Status to display Agent Information
.
- Registration Date: Date when the package is
registered.
Note
A file without a digital signature cannot be registered
for the distribution package.
Add Distribution Package
You can configure the settings to distribute the programs to the agents
and then install in the agents. If the required software is selected and
then the operating system is selected, the agent will download the admin
distributed software and run installation. You can add the distribution
package as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Distribution Package from the menu.
- Click Add.
- Enter the required information in the default settings of <Add Distribution Package>.
- Name: Enter
the name of distribution package.
- Distribution
Package: Click Search...to select the distribution package to
distribute.
- Executable
File: Select the file to run right after the distribution file is
downloaded in the agent. Click Search...to select the file o run after download.
- Executable
File Parameters: Enter the executable
file parameters to run
the executable file after distribution, if necessary.
- Display
the distribution package on the screen: Specify
the display of the distribution package on the screen when installing
the distribution package file downloaded from the server.
- If the option
is selected:
Displays the installation screen with the logged-in user session.
If no user is logged in, the distribution package screen will not
be displayed as the installation runs in background.
- If the option
is not
selected: Not
displays the installation screen as the distribution package is run
using the system account. When installing the distribution
package, the option must be selected when the user selection or input
is required.
Caution
When installing the distribution package, the option must
be selected when the user selection or input is required.
- Select the operating system
to distribute from OS / Distribution Path in <Add Distribution
Package>.
- Windows OS: Installs the distribution packages
in the Windows operating system.
- Desktop OS
- 32bit: Installs the distribution packages
in the 32bit system. Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7,
Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
- 64bit: Installs the distribution packages in
the 64bit system. Windows XP x64, Windows Vista x64, Windows 7 x64,
Windows 8 x64, Windows 8.1 x64, Windows 10 x64
- Server OS
- 32bit: Installs the distribution packages
in the 32bit system. Windows Server 2003(R2) , Windows Server
2008
- 64bit: Installs the distribution packages in
the 64bit system. Windows Server 2003(R2) x64, Windows Server 2008
x64, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012
R2, Windows Server 2016
- Select the distribution
path from <Add Distribution Package>. Enter the
detailed path if there is additional detailed path under the
distribution path.
- Distribution Path for Windows OS
- Windows Folder: Distributes the files at the
Windows folder of the agent.
- Windows System Folder: Distributes the files
at the Windows system folder of the agent.
- Windows Program Files Folder: Distributes the
files at the Windows program files folder of the agent.
- Temp Folder: Distributes the files at the Temp
folder of the agent.
- AhnLab CPP Folder: Distributes the files at
the AhnLab CPP folder of the agent.
- Path: If the absolute path is selected, the
obligatory input fields must be specified by server admin.
- Distribution Path for Mac OS
- Temp Folder: Distributes the files at the Temp
folder of the agent.
- Applications Folder: Distribute the files
at the Application folder.
- AhnLab CPP Folder: Distributes the files
at the installation folder of the agent.
- Absolute Path: Distributes the files
at the path specified by admin. If the C:\ABC is entered for the patch,
the files will be distributed to the folder named ABC under the C
drive.
- Overwrite the same file: If the file
name same with the file to distribute exists at the selected path,
the file will be replaced.
- Create a new folder if it does not exist: If
no folder is specified in the agent, the folder will be created and
then the files will be distributed.
- Click OK.
Delete Distribution Package
Deletes the selected distribution package from the list of distribution
packages. You can delete the distribution package as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Distribution Package from the menu.
- Select the distribution package to delete from
the list and the click Delete, or click
(
).
- When a message asking
to delete the selected package appears, click Yes.
Manage Signer
To distribute the general software, a digital signature should be included.
Only the files signed by authenticated signer can be registered. You can
add or delete a signer as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Distribution Package from the menu.
- Click Manager Signer.
- Add or delete a new signer from <Manage Signer>.
- Add Signer: Click Add to enter the name and
the description in <Add Signer>. ex) AhnLab, Inc.
- Delete Signer: Deletes a signer from the list.
Note
The signer name can be checked from Digital
Signature in Properties.
Click OK.
