Use Offline Policy to protect agents that fail to connect to the server.
When the agents connect to the server, Online Policy
will be deployed. Set the offline elapsed time (from 1 to 12 hours) to
apply Offline Policy. To add an agent policy:
- Click Policy on
the top.
- Select the Security
Program Policy tab.
- Click Add > Security
Agent Policy.
- In <Update>, configure the settings.
- Enable Use offline policy
after.
- Use offline policy after: Enable this option
to change the policy to Offline Policy when the agent cannot connect
to the server for the set time. Offline Policy is only available for
agents that cannot connect to the server. When the agent gets to connect
to the server, Online Policy will be deployed. If you enable this
option, set Online Policy and Offline
Policy individually.
- Online Policy: Agent policy that will apply
when the agent is connected to the server.
- Offline Policy: Agent policy that will apply
when the agent is not connected to the server. Set the offline elapsed

Update Settings - engine file, patch
file and update interval.
Note
Network overload may occur when downloading patch files.
So, it is recommended to use engine files for updates. Use patch files
only when necessary.
- Engine files: File that detects and repairs
malware.
- Patch files (Software update files): File that
updates the security product or software.
Note
If you set a short interval for "Run update after
the set time of booting the system", the network or server could
become overloaded when the agent computers start up at the same time in
the morning. To prevent this from happening, set the time to more than
30 minutes.
- Use automatic update: Update when the computer
starts.
- Run update after the set time of booting the
system: Update when the specified time has been passed after system
startup. Set a time between 0 and 99. The default is 10 minutes.
- Run update within the set time of booting the
system: Update within the specified time period after system startup.
Set a time between 0 and 99. The default is 30 minutes.
- Update at a regular interval: Update at the
set intervals.
- Update every: Enter an interval between 1 to
1440 minutes. The default is 120 minutes.
- Update on a daily basis: Update at the set
time everyday.
- Allow the daily update to run any time within:
Update within the set time period (1 to 12 hours) after the scheduled
update time. For instance, if the update schedule is at 1pm and the
time period is 2 hours, the update will take place at any time between
1pm to 3pm.
