Advanced Settings
Configure the Advanced Scan Settings of V3 Net installed on agents.
To configure the Advanced Protection settings:
- Click Policy on
the top.
- Select the Security
Program Policy tab.
- Click Add > Anti-Malware
Policy > V3 Net.
- To configure the Intense Scan settings, go to
Advanced Settings, and specify the following
fields:
- Do not allow AutoRun on CDs or USBs: Prevents
autorun on a CD or USB flash memory device when it is inserted.
- Always scan USB drives: Scans a USB flash drive
when it is inserted.
- Scan all subfolders: Scans all sub-folders
in the USB flash drive.
- Do not show the scan progress window: Select
this option to hide the scan window when running USB flash drive scan.
- Do not allow the user to stop the scan: Select
this option to disable the stop button when USB flash drive scan is
running.
- Use Smart Scan to speed up the scan: Reduces
the scan time by scanning only new and changed files.
- Check V3 integrity on a regular basis: Checks
the integrity of V3 program on a regular basis.
- Enable Self-Defense: Select the check box to
prevent V3 program files from being removed or modified by malicious
programs, and specify whether to and when to restart the Self-Defense
feature if it is turned off.
- Protect V3 processes: Prevents the V3 process
from being terminated.
- Protect V3 registries: Prevents the V3 registry
from being removed or changed.
- Protect V3 files: Prevents the V3 program files
from being removed or changed.
- Protect V3 volumes: Prevents the system volume,
in which the V3 program is installed from being changed.
- When Self-Defense is disable, turn in back
on:
- never: Does not restart V3 Program Protection
even when it is turned off.
- after 10 mins: Restarts V3 Program Protection
10 minutes later since it was turned off.
- after 30 mins: Restarts V3 Program Protection
30 minutes later since it was turned off.
- after 60 mins: Restarts V3 Program Protection
60 minutes later since it was turned off.
- upon reboot: Restarts V3 Program Protection
when the computer starts up next time.
- After configuration, click Save.
- When the <Add Policy> window appears,
select a target to apply the policy.
- When a confirming message appears, click OK.
