Scheduled Scan
Configure the Scheduled Scan Settings of V3 Net installed on agents.
To configure the Scheduled Scan settings:
- Click Policy on
the top.
- Select the Security
Program Policy tab.
- Click Add > Anti-Malware
Policy > V3 Net.
- To configure the Scheduled Scan settings, go
to PC Security > Scan Settings > Scheduled
Scan, and specify the following fields:
- Prioritize scans scheduled on the agent over
the scans from server: Select the check box to give a higher priority
for the scan configured in agents.
- To add a scheduled scan click Add
and specify the following options, then click OK.
- Name: Enter a name. Spaces and special characters
such as ( : / ) cannot be used.
- Schedule: Specify the time and the repetition
interval to run the scheduled scan.
- Scan Area: Select a scan area.
- Entire system: Scans the hard disk of agents.
- Windows folder: Scans the folder where Window
is installed.
- Local disk: Scans the hard disk where Windows
is installed.
- Program Files folder: Scans the Program Files
folder.
- Memory and process: Scans the running programs
on the memory of the system and active programs. Once malware is executed,
it is loaded on memory and processes and infects other programs.
- Boot sector: Scans the boot sector of the drive
where Windows is installed.
- Critical system files: Scans critical system
folders such as startup folders, desktop folders, and Windows installation
folder.
- Scan Target: Select a target to scan.
- All files: Scans all files supported by V3
Net 9.0
- Vulnerable files only: Scans vulnerable files
such as exe, macro and script files.
- Files with following extensions: Select the
check box to scan files with admin specified extensions. To separate
extensions, use / between. You can enter up to 256 characters. (e.g.:
dat/tmp/dbx/ttf)
- Additional Settings
- Scan for potentially harmful programs: Scans
for the programs categorized as a harmful program by V3 such as key
logger and remote access tool.
- Scan for potentially unwanted programs: Scans
for the program files, which you installed intentionally, but may
cause security problems.
- Programs with low reputation: Scans for the
programs that are not determined as malicious or normal. The reputation
is decided by using information in the cloud server and collecting
first detected date, a number of users, and suspicious behaviors.
- Scan EML files: Scans the content and attachments
of EML files.
- Scan compressed files: Scans compressed files.
- Max no. of compressions: You can configure
the max number of file's compression layer up to 5. However, the higher
the compression layer is, the more time and DPU usage it may take
to scan the files as they are scanned after additional decompression
process. The default value is 1.
- Remediation
- If a compressed file is infected: Select repair
option for compressed files.
- Ignore: Leaves the infected file.
- Delete: Deletes the infected file.
- Repair immediately: Automatically repairs the
infected files.
- Send to Quarantine before repairing or removing:
Send the infected files to Quarantine.
- Advanced Settings
- CPU Usage: You can adjust an average CPU usage
for a scan. If High is selected, CPU resource is used more.
- Process Priority: Select a priority of scans
of V3 Net.
- Drives Excluded from Scanning: Enter a drive
to exclude from scanning. If you want to enter several drives, enter
'/' between drives.
- Delay the scan for up to: Scan the system
within the following time period after the scheduled scan time: A
scheduled scan is run within the admin specified time period. For
example, when a scan is scheduled to run at 1 PM and the time period
is 2 hours, the scan will be run between 1 PM and 3 PM. You can select
time period between 1 and 12 hours.
- Do not run scan in full screen mode: Prevent
to run a scheduled scan in full-screen mode.
- Click Save. If
you want to get back to the default settings, click Default.
- When the <Add Policy> window appears,
select a target to apply the policy.
- When a confirming message appears, click OK.
