Running Malware Scan
Scan agents for
malware. When the server sends the command to run Malware Scan to the
agent, the security tool installed on the agent will scan and repair the
system based on its scan and repair settings.
To scan for malware in the
agent computer:
- Log in
to the web administrative page.
- Select
Management >
Agent.
- Select
a system/group or an individual agent, and run a Run
Malware Scan command. You can run the command in the
following locations:
- If
a system or a group is selected: Right-click and then select V3 > Run Malware Scan.
- When
an individual agent is selected: Select the required agent to run
a command from the agents list, and then right-click and select Run Malware
Scan or
click V3 > Malware Scan from
Send Command.
- Set scan
type and repair process in <Run Malware Scan>.
- Scan Type: Select the scan type.
- Full scan: Runs malware scan for all files
of agents that receive the malware scan command. Full scan works only
on Windows OS.
- Selective scan: Scans only the target file
in the path entered by the administrator. You can enter up to 5 scan
paths for the selective scan.
- Repair Process: Set whether or not to automatically
repair.
- A message Do
you want to send malware scan command to the selected target?
appears. To scan for a malware, click Yes,
to not run a scan, click No.
You can check the command result at Response Status.
