Agent Status
You can check the agent information, patch installation
status, software installation status, and policy status in the agent status.
The followings are the main
features available in Agent Status.
Agent Status
You can check the group information created
under a domain in the agent status, and also can create a virtual
group. You can view the agents of a domain/group, which satisfy
the rules. Select the agent
information to view the
detailed agent information and APM agent installation status. You
can view the policy status such as APM agent policy, patch policy, software
management policy, process termination policy, etc in Policy
Distribution Information. Also, you can run a management
command to a domain/group or a agent. Click the number or description
in the column of Connected Agent or Pending Agent located at the group list on
the right side of the agent screen to move to Agent
Group Details. Click View Agent and then
select IP Address or Computer
Name to move to Agent Details.
Note
The agents without a belonging group are displayed in the
list of agent.
Group
Displays the group and related information in Group
Configuration. When creating a group in Group Configuration, you can
configure the sorting order and also can
create a virtual group. You can configure
the virtual group settings to display on the screen
and an user-defined virtual group.
Note
Select a group from domain/group on the left side of the
screen, or right-click the agent on the right side of the screen to select
a virtual group to move to
the required virtual group.
You can search for the required agent to view the details. To search
for the agent to view the details, click
from left
side on the screen to select an search item, and then enter the required
information. You can also enter the search fields; IP
address, IP range, MAC address, computer name, last logged in user, user
name, agent ID, department, mail address, phone number, employee No.
in advanced search. The default is advanced search.

You can view the agents belonging to a domain or
group. Configure the information to display via View Agent in Column
Settings. You can check the agent information as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Agent Status from the menu.
- Select a domain
or group to view the information in <Agent
Status> at the left side of the screen.
- When a domain is selected from left tree: Displays
the list of groups, which belong to a domain at the top of the screen.
Click View Agent to display the all agents
belonging to a domain.
- When a group is selected from left tree: Only
displays the agents belonging to a specific group. Displays the agents
under both a group and sub-group.
You can select the column settings to display in the agent list. You
can select the columns to display on the screen as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Agent Status from the menu.
- Click Row Settings.
- You can view the columns for <Agent List
Settings - Agent Information>. The default setting for the row
settings of the agent information is Connection/Network
Block/IP address/Computer name.
- Select items from the all columns to display
on the screen.
- Add
Item (
): Adds to the list of agent status.
- Delete
Item (
): Deletes the selected item from the list
of agent status.
- Up
(
):
Moves up the selected item. The items located on the upper side are
displayed from the left side of the column.
- Down
(
):
Moves down the selected item. The items located on the lower side
are displayed from the right side of the column.
- Click OK to close
the window. You can view the added columns in the agent list.
When a dynamic group, which is used as a filter in the
advanced rules is selected, only the agents in the dynamic group are displayed.
Click View Information next to the option
box for the advanced rules to view the details about the advanced rules
(exception IP, rule description, response). Click View
Information to view the details about the advanced rules, and click
Hide Information to hide the details about
the advanced rules.
- Exception IP: Lists the IP addresses, where
the advanced rules are not applied.
- Rule: Shows the details about the rules configured
in Advanced Rules.
- Response: Shows the response method when an
agent is detected by advanced rules.
You can view the details about an agent. The columns in the agent information
only show the configured columns of information in Row
Settings(
).
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Agent Status from the menu.
- Select Advanced
Rules on the top of the screen. Select the advanced rules to filter
the information by configured advanced rule. Not to apply the advanced
rules, select to disable advanced rule.
- Select Agent Information
from the drop-down list. Check the details of individual item. Click
IP Address or Computer
Name to move to Agent
Details.
- Send Management Command: Sends a management
command to the selected agent. You can view the details about the
command in Summary for Command
Management.
- Export: Exports the agent status information
displayed on the screen to the defined location in csv, xlsx or pdf
format.
- View Agent: You can view the agents belonging
to a domain or group.
- Row Settings:
You can select the column settings to display in the agent list. The
default setting for the row settings of the agent information is Connection/Network Block/IP address/Computer name.
- Connection Status: Shows the connection result
to the server of an agent.
- Connected (
): The agent
is connected to the server.
- Not Connected (
): The agent
is not connected to the server.
- Network Block: Shows the details about network
block in an agent.
- Blocked (
): Indicates
the network is blocked in the agent.
- Allowed (
): Indicates
the network is allowed in the agent.
- IP Address: IP address of an agent computer.
- Connected IP Address: IP address of a connected
agent computer.
- Computer Name: The name of computer configured
in the Windows system information of the agent.
- Last Connection Time: The last time when an
agent connected.
- User Name: Enter the user name of an agent.
- Operating System: The operating system installed
in the agent.
- Desktop OS: Select an option; Windows Vista,
Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1.
- Server OS: Select an option; Windows Server
2003 R2, Windows Server 2008 SP2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows
Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2.
- Integrity Check Result: Displays the integrity
check result for an agent file.
- Normal: Indicates an agent file is found normal
during integrity check.
- Corrupted: Indicates an agent file is found
corrupted during integrity check.
- Unknown: Indicates an agent file is found unknown
during integrity check.
- AhnLab EPP Management Agent Version: Indicates
the patch version of AhnLab EPP Management Agent.
- Secondary Update Server: Shows the IP address
of secondary update server. If the secondary update server is specified,
its IP address is displayed, but if not specified, it is shown as
not configured.
- Group Path: Indicates the path of group where
an agent belongs.
- Last Connection Time: Indicates the time when
the agent last connected to the server.
- MAC address: Indicates the MAC address of an
agent computer.
- Last Logged in User: Indicates the Windows
user account logged into the agent computer.
- Windows Task Group Indicates the name of the
task group shown in the Windows system registration information.
- Agent ID: Indicates the unique ID assigned
to an agent.
- Department: Enter the department name where
an user of an agent belongs.
- Mail Address: Enter the mail address of an
agent user.
- Phone: Enter the phone number of an agent user.
- Employee No.: Enter the employee number of
an agent user.
- OS Language: Indicates the language of the
operating system. ex) Korean (Republic of Korea)
- Modification by Admin: Indicates the user information
is modified by administrator from the management console.
Software Patch Management
You can check the installation status of an agent delivered from the
server to the APM agent from software patch management. You can view the
following information from software patch management.
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Agent Status from the menu.
- Select Advanced
Rules on the top of the screen. Select the advanced rules to filter
the information by configured advanced rule. Not to apply the advanced
rules, select to disable advanced rule.
- Select Software Patch
Management from the drop-down list. Check
the details of individual item. Click IP Address
or Computer Name to move to Agent
Details. The following information is also displayed from software
patch information in addition to the information shown in Agent
Information
- APM Agent Status: Shows the status of an APM
agent.
- Normal: Indicates the agent status is normal.
- Unknown: Indicates the agent status is unknown.
- Manual patch management: Indicates an exception
IP address, which is manually managed for patch installation.
- Patch file corrupted: Indicates the file to
check the patch information is corrupted.
- Not supported language: Indicates the operating
system which an agent does not support. The languages supported for
patch in the current server are Korean, English, Chinese (Simplified),
and Japanese. The agents with other operating systems are not compatible
with the patch.
- Failed to load patch policy: Indicates the
patch policies cannot be checked for the failure of loading a file
for patch policies.
- Not supported operating system: Indicates the
exception operating system excluded from patch installation.
- Exception group agent: Indicates the agents
assigned to an exception group.
- Insufficient hard disk space: Indicates the
the space of the hard disk is not sufficient.
- Windows Update not responding: Indicates the
Windows update is run, but there is no response.
- Windows Update scan failure: Indicates a scan
for Windows update is failed.
- Failed to receive meta information: Indicates
receiving the meta information from the server is failed.
- No patch file for this language: Indicates
an agent with the operating system compatible with the patch requested
to install the patch to the server, but the patch with the required
language is not registered in the server.
- Operating System: Indicates the type of operating
system instaslled in the APM agent computer.
- Desktop OS: Select an option; Windows Vista,
Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1.
- Server OS: Select an option; Windows Server
2003 R2, Windows Server 2008 SP2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows
Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2.
- Disk Space: Indicates the disk space currently
used in the entire disk and displayed in percentage (%).
- APM Version: Indicates the version of AhnLab
Patch Management Agent.
- Recommended Patch Status: Indicates the installation
status of patch recommended by admin. Displays the number of installed
patches out of total recommended patches.
- All Patch Status: Displays the installation
status of all patches. Displays the number of installed patches out
of total number of patches.
- Patch policy status: Displays the patch installation
status. The status types are; installed and installing.
Software Information
You can view the
installation status of the recommend software and prohibited software
installed in the agent from software information. You can view the following
information from software information.
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Agent Status from the menu.
- Select Advanced
Rules on the top of the screen. Select the advanced rules to filter
the information by configured advanced rule. Not to apply the advanced
rules, select to disable advanced rule.
- Select Software Information
from the drop-down list. Check the details of individual item. Click
IP Address or Computer
Name to move to Agent
Details. The following information is also displayed from software
information in addition to the information shown in Agent
Information
- APM Version: Indicates the version of AhnLab
Patch Management Agent.
- No. of installed software: Indicates the number
of software programs installed in the agent.
- Required Software Installed: Indicates the
number of required software programs installed in the agent.
- Prohibited Software Installed: Indicates the
number of prohibited software programs installed in the agent.
- Software Policy Status: Click the description
next to the software policy status and then select the status; applied,
applying, or not applied to display the policy application status.
- Software Information Check: Indicates the update
time of the software information currently displayed.
You can check the application status of a policy delivered from the
server to the agent from policy distribution information. Displays the
following information in addition to the items displayed in Agent
Information. The columns in the agent information only show the configured
columns of information in Row Settings(
).
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Agent Status from the menu.
- Select Advanced
Rules on the top of the screen. Select the advanced rules to filter
the information by configured advanced rule. Not to apply the advanced
rules, select to disable advanced rule.
- Select Policy Distribution
Information from the drop-down list.
Check the details of individual item. Click IP
Address or Computer Name to move
to Agent Details.
- EPP Agent Policy: Displays the application
status of EPP agent policies. The application status of EPP agent
policies is as following; distributed or distributing.
- Patch Policy: Displays the application status
of patch policy. The application status of patch policies is as following;
distributed, distributing, failed, or not installed.
- Software Management Policy: Displays the status
of software management policy. The application status of software
management policy is as following; distributed, distributing, failed,
or not installed.
- Process Termination Policy: Displays the status
of process termination policy. The application status of process termination
policy is as following; distributed, distributing, failed, or not
installed.
- APM Agent Policy: Displays the application
status of APM agent policies. The application status of APM agent
policy is as following; distributed, distributing, or not installed.
