Software Status
You can figure out the status of software installed
in an agent and manage the software programs used in a company. You can
also view the brief information about the software management status from
Software Status.
The
followings are the main features
available in Software Status.
- Check the status of software installed in an
agent.
Software Status
You can view the status of software programs installed in an agent.
You can check the software status as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Software Status from the menu.
- Check th software status from the list. The
type of software status is as following: user-defined,
total. Select either View
in alphabetical order or View
by admin, and then enter a software name
for a search keyword to search for the required software program.
- User-defined: You can select iew
in alphabetical order/View by admin.
- Total: You can view the information of all
software programs installed in an agent.
User-defined
You can view the status of software programs installed in an agent.
You can check the user-defined software status as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Software Status from the menu.
- Select User-defined
from Software Status. Select either View in
alphabetical order/View by admin, and then enter a
software name for a search keyword to search for the required
software program.
- Add: Adds a software program for management.
Click Add Software to register a software
from <Add Software>.
- Delete: Deletes a software program from the
list.
- Software deleted: Select the required software
from the screen for software categories, and then click Delete to
delete the software from the list.
- Delete unused software: Select the required
software from the screen for software categories, and the click Delete
to delete the software from the list.
- Set Software Type: You can configure the software
types. You can add a software type from <Software Type> or modify
the existing types.
- Add: Enter the name for the software type from
<Add Software Identifier>. Categorize the software types as
a group for efficient administration.
- Modify: Edits the name for the registered software
type.
- Software Name: Software name. The software
name is entered from Add Software.
- Enter the name, which is shown from the
control panel when the software is installed. If the software name
is different from the information shown in Install/Remove, the duplicate
software name can be registered.
- Software Type: Name of software type. You can
create a software type using software type settings.
- Identifier: Displays an identifier for a software.
- Installation Rate: Displays the software installation
rate of agents over all agents.
- Installed Agent: Agent with a software installed.
Click the number to move to Management >
Agent Status to view the details
about the agents with a software installed.
- Uninstaled Agent: Agent with a software uninstalled.

You can view the status of software programs installed in an agent.
You can check the software status as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Software Status from the menu.
- Click Add after
selecting user-defined.
- Enter the required information about the software
in default settings of <Add Software>.
- Software Name: Enter a software name of a software
to register. Enter the name, which is shown from the control panel
when the software is installed. If the software name is different
from the information shown in Install/Remove, the duplicate software
name can be registered. You can choose Direct
Input or Select From List to enter
the software name.
- Description: Enter the description about the
software to add.
- Type: Select the software type. You can select
the software type from the list and the type name shows the software
type added in the software type settings.
- Software Identifier: Identifies by software
name. If you add more identifiers in addition to a software name,
the identifier becomes more accurate.
- Operating System: Select a operating system
to identify the software installation. Select either 32bit or 64bit.
- 32bit: Identifies the software installation
using 32bit information of the software. The registry information
and folder path of 32bit redirection path in 64bit system.
- 64bit: Identifies the software installation
using 64bit information of the software.
- Search Condition: Identifies the software installation
by software name. Search condition allows to identify the software
installation by software name. To consider the case all conditions
added in <Software Identifier> are met, you can choose AND,
or to consider the case at least one condition is met, select OR.
- Add: Adds a software identifier to identify
a software. Select the software identifier to identify the software.
You can choose an option for the software identifier; Search
characters/numbers in the registry, Search version information in
the registry, Search installation path in the registry, Search file
name in the registry, Search file path. Depending on the selected
item, the different fields to specify are displayed.
- Search characters/numbers in the registry,
Search version information in the registry: Identifies a software
from registry. Enter the data type, key name, value name, and value
data.
- Data Type: Select
either REG_SZ or REG_DWORD.
- Key Name: Enter the
entire path for the registry key to check. The registry key can be
added up to 255 characters.
- Value Name: Enter
the value name for the registry to check. You can add a blank. If
a blank is entered for the value name, it is not checked.
- Value Data: Enter
the data to match with the value. You can add a blank. If a blank
is entered for the value data, it is not checked. If value data is
not entered, the registry key or key value is checked.
- Search version information in the registry:
- Data Type: Select
either REG_SZ or REG_DWORD.
- Key Name: Enter the
entire path for the registry key to check. The registry key can be
added up to 255 characters.
- Value Name: Enter
the value name for the registry to check. You can add a blank. If
a blank is entered for the value name, it is not checked.
- Version Condition:
Compares the files searched from the registry. If a blank is entered,
the version is not compared.
Note
Compare Version
- Greater than the version (>): If the software version registered in
the server is great than the software version installed in the agent,
it is considered as software installed.
- Less than the version (<): If the software version registered in the
server is less than the software version installed in the agent, it is
considered as software installed.
- Equal to or great than the version (>=): If the software version registered
in the server is equal to or greater than the software version installed
in the agent, it is considered as software installed.
- Less than or equal to the version (<=):: If the software version registered
in the server is less than or equal to the software version installed
in the agent, it is considered as software installed.
- Equal to the version (=):: If the software version registered in the
server is equal to the software version installed in the agent, it is
considered as software installed.
- Search installation path in the registry:
- Data Type: Select
either REG_SZ or REG_DWORD.
- Key Name: Enter the
entire path for the registry key to check. The registry key can be
added up to 255 characters.
- Value Name: Enter
the value name for the registry to check. You can add a blank. If
a blank is entered for the value name, it is not checked.
- File Name: Enter
the file name to confirm the existence. Compare the version of searched
files. If a blank is entered, the version is not compared.
- Version Condition:
Compares the files searched from the registry. If a blank is entered,
the version is not compared.
- Search file name in the registry:
- Data Type: Select
either REG_SZ or REG_DWORD.
- Key Name: Enter the
entire path for the registry key to check. The registry key can be
added up to 255 characters.
- Value Name: Enter
the value name for the registry to check. You can add a blank. If
a blank is entered for the value name, it is not checked.
- File Name: Enter
the file name to confirm the existence. Compare the version of searched
files. If a blank is entered, the version is not compared.
- Version Condition:
Compares the files searched from the registry. If a blank is entered,
the version is not compared.
- Search file path: Identifies the software by
file path. You can select Windows folder, Windows System folder, or
Windows ProgramFiles folder for the file path. If the direct input
option is selected, the file path should be entered.
- File Path: Entire
path to search for a file. The file path can be selected from the
list or can be directly entered. You can select Windows (%WINDIR%)
folder, Windows System folder (%SYSDIR%), or Windows Program Files
folder (%PROGRAMFILEDIR%) from the list.
- File Name: Enter
the file name to confirm the existence. Compare the version of searched
files. If a blank is entered, the version is not compared.
- Version Condition:
Compares the version of files. If a blank is entered, the version
is not compared.
- Modify: Modifies a software identifier in the
list.
- Select the operating system to distribute a
software to add to the required operating systems in <Add Software>.
You can select either desktop operating system or server operating
system for the operating system type, and if the distributed software
is not compatible with the operating system, it cannot be executed
properly.
- Desktop OS: Identifies the software installation
in the desktop operating system. Identifies the software installation
by 32bit or 64bit software information.
- 32Bit OS: Identifies the software installation
using 32bit information of the operating system. 32Bit OS: Windows
XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
- 64Bit OS: Identifies the software installation
using 64bit information of the operating system. 64Bit OS: Windows
XP x64, Windows Vista x64, Windows 7 x64, Windows 8 x64, Windows 8.1
x64, Windows 10 x64
- Server OS: Identifies the software installation
in the server operating system.
- 32Bit OS: Identifies the software installation
using 32bit information of the server operating system. 32Bit OS:
Windows Server 2003(R2) x64, Windows Server 2008 x64
- 64Bit OS: Identifies the software installation
using 64bit information of the server operating system. 64Bit OS:
Windows Server 2003(R2) x64, Windows Server 2008 x64, Windows Server
2008 R2 x64, Windows Server 2012 x64, Windows Server 2012 R2 x64,
Windows Server 2016 x64
- Click OK.
- Check the software added to the software status
list.
All
You can view the status of all software programs. You can check the
software status as follows:
- Select Management
at the top of the screen.
- Select Management >
Software Status from the menu.
- Select All from
Software Status. Software Name:
- Software Name: Shows the name of software.
ex) AhnLab V3 Endpoint Security 9.0
- Publisher: Displays the publisher of the software.
ex) AhnLab, Inc.
- Version: Displays the version of software.
ex) 1.0.0.1
- Size: Displays the file size.
- Installed Agent(s): Displays the number of
agents where the software is installed. Click he number to move to
Management > Agent
Status to view the agent information
about the list of agents with the software installed.
