Running Malware Scan

Scan agents for malware. When the server sends the command to run Malware Scan to the agent, the security tool installed on the agent will scan and repair the system based on its scan and repair settings.

To scan for malware in the agent computer:

1. Log in to the web administrative page.
2. Select Management>Agent.
3. Select a physical system/group or run a scan command to for malicious code. You can run the command for importing patch information in the following locations:

• If a physical system or a group is selected: Right-click and then select V3 > Malware Scan.
• When an individual agent is selected: Select the required agent to run a command from the agents list, and then right-click and select Malware Scan or click V3 > Malware Scan from Command Management.

4. A message Do you want to send malware scan command to the selected target? appears. To scan for a malware, click Yes, to not run a scan, click No. You can check the command result at Response Status.
