Agent Installation File
Create an agent installation file for Windows or Mac
OS, or upload an existing agent installation file.
You
can do the following in Agent Installation
File:
- Create an agent installation file for Windows
OS
- Create an agent installation file for Mac OS
Note
You cannot create an agent installation file for Mac. Based
on Apple’s policy, the installation file cannot be modified after it has
been digitally signed. Therefore, you need to make the modifications from
Add Agent Installation File, download the file and then send it to AhnLab
via Technical Support. AhnLab will get a digital signature from Apple’s
registered developer, create an installation file and send it back to
you. You can then add the installation file from Upload
existing file.
To check the registered agent installation file by OS:
- On the top of the web page, click Settings.
- From the left menu, select Agent
> Agent Installation File.
- Check the list of agent installation files.
To search for a specific agent installation file, enter the File Name and click the Search
(
) icon.
- Add: Create an agent installation file for
Windows and Mac.
- Delete (
):
Delete an agent installation file.
- Change Agent Master File: Change an agent master
file.
- All: The total number of agent installation
files.
- OS: The agent installation file's OS - Windows
or Mac.
- File Name: Enter the agent installation file
name.
- Description: Enter a description of the file.
- Server IP: Enter the server IP address the
agent will connect to.
- File Registration Date: The agent installation
file registration date.
Add an agent installation file for Windows to the server. You can Create manually or Upload
existing file. To Create manually:
- On the top of the web page, click Settings.
- From the left menu, select Agent
> Agent Installation File.
- Click Add.
- In <Add Agent Installation File>, fill
in all the required fields in the Default Settings
tab.
- Select Windows for OS
to create an installation file for Windows.
- File Creation: Create the file manually from
Create manually or Upload
existing file by clicking Browse....
- File Name: Enter the file name. It must end
with Setup or else "Setup"
will be automatically added to the end of the name. The file name
must be up to 15 characters, and cannot contain Korean characters,
space, and special characters, such as "-" and "_".
- Installation Window: Select whether to display
the installation process.
- Show all (Default):
Display the entire installation process and let the user specify the
agent installation path.
- Hide all: Hide
the installation process.
- Show only the first
page: Display only the first installation page.
- If already installed: Select the option for
already installed agent.
- Replace older version
with new one: Replace an older version agent with a newer version
agent. Do not replace a new version agent.
- Do not install:
Do not install if an agent is already installed.
- Install after removing
it: Install after deleting the existing agent, regardless of the version.
- Installation Path: Specify the agent installation
path. The default path is %PROGRAMFILES%\AhnLab\EPP Agent\1.0.
- Enter manually
when installing agents: Specify the agent installation path during
installation.
- Management Server Address: Enter the management
server address only when Enter manually when
installing agents is selected.
- Group: Specify the group to install the agent.
Select [Select a group] to add the agent
to the group.
Note
Add policies to the agent installation file from Policy/Advanced Rule > Policy.
- Enter the required
information in Connection.
- Server is in the
NAT environment: When the server is in NAT, the server's IP address
will be private, so the agent will not be able to connect to the server.
In this case, connect two network ports to the server to communicate
with the agent.
- Public IP Address:
Enter the server's public IP address. It must be in the same network
as the agent's IP address.
- In Description,
enter a description of the agent installation file.
- In <Add Agent
Installation File>, there will be a Policy
Attachment tab. Select the policy to add to the installation
file. Create policies to attach from Policy/Advanced
Rule > Policy.
- EPPM Agent Policy: Set the policy to apply
when installing an EPPM agent.
- V3 Policy:
Set the V3 policy to apply when installing an agent.
- V3
IS/ES 9.0: Set the V3 IS/ES 9.0 policy to apply when installing an
agent.
- V3
Net 9.0: Set the V3 Net 9.0 policy to apply when installing an agent.
- V3
for VDI Agent: Set the V3 for VDI Agent policy to apply when installing
an agent.
- EDR Policy:
Set the EDR policy to apply when installing an agent
- Click OK.
- Check that the file is added to the agent installation
file list.
You cannot create an agent installation file for Mac. Based
on Apple’s policy, the installation file cannot be modified after it has
been digitally signed. Therefore, you need to make the modifications from
Add Agent Installation File, download the file and then send it to AhnLab
via Technical Support. AhnLab will get a digital signature from Apple’s
registered developer, create an installation file and send it back to
you. You can then add the installation file from Upload
existing file. To add an agent installation file for Mac to the
server:
- On the top of the web page, click Settings.
- From the left menu, select Agent
> Agent Installation File.
- Click Add.
- In <Add Agent Installation File> fill
in all the required fields in the Default Settings
tab.
- Select Mac for OS
to create an installation file for Mac.
- In File
Creation, select Create installation
file after downloading it .
You can Create manually or Upload existing file.
- Create installation file after downloading
it: Enter
the information to create
an agent installation file and download it. Then, send it to
AhnLab via Technical Support. AhnLab will get it digitally signed
and send it back to you. Add the file from Upload
existing file.
- Installation Window:
Select whether to display the installation process.
- Show all (Default): Display the entire installation
process.
- Management Server Address: Enter the management
server address only when Enter manually when
installing agents is selected.
- Group: Specify
the group to install the agent. Select [Select
a group] to add the agent to the group.
Note
Add policies to the agent installation file from Policy/Advanced Rule > Policy.
- Enter the required information in Connection.
- Public IP Address:
Enter the server's public IP address. It must be in the same network
as the agent's IP address.
- Upload
existing file: Upload a digitally signed agent installation
file by clicking Browse....
- In <Add Agent
Installation File>, there will be a Policy
Attachment tab. Select the policy to add to the installation
file. Create policies to attach from Policy/Advanced
Rule > Policy.
- EPPM Agent Policy: Set the policy to apply
when installing an EPPM agent.
- V3 Policy:
Set the V3 policy to apply when installing an agent.
- V3
Policy: Attach the policy to apply to V3 for Mac.
- Click Download.
- Send the downloaded Agent Installation File
for Mac AhnLab via Technical Support. ex.) MacAgentSetup.zip
- AhnLab will get it digitally signed and send
it back to you. Add the file from >Upload
existing file in <Add Agent Installation File>.
- Check that the file is added to the agent installation
file list.
Check Registration of Agent Installation File
To check whether the agent installation file is registered properly:
- Open a web browser and go to the agent installation
file download page - https://server IP address.
(ex.: https://192.168.0.1)
- Check that the agent installation file is registered.
- Download and install the agent installation
file.
- Check that the agent is functioning properly
and the settings are correct.
- If everything is good, send the URL for the
agent installation file download page to the users.
Delete Agent Installation File
To delete a registered agent installation file:
- On the top of the web page, click Settings
- From the left menu, select Agent
> Agent Installation File.
- Select the file to delete and click the Delete
(

icon on the left or click Delete at the
top.
- When the confirmation message appears, click
Yes.
