Agent Installation/Uninstallation

You can install AhnLab Security Agent for Windows OS.

You can check the following in Install/Delete Agent.

• Install AhnLab Security Agent
• Confirm AhnLab Security Agent Installation
• Delete AhnLab Security Agent

Install AhnLab Security Agent

Download agent install file for Windows and install the file to the agent PC.

1. Enter https://server_address/web/agent/list_agent.htm to access the agent install file download page.

Note

The agent install file must be pre-registered to the server through Adding the Agent Install File.

• Download Address: https://server_address/web/agent/list_agent.htm
• File Name: Name of the agent install file.
• Script: Script of the agent install file.
• OS: OS of the agent install file. Select install file of either Windows or Linux OS depending on the OS of the agent.
• Description: A description of the agent install file.
• Changed On: The date when the agent install file was uploaded.

2. Download agent install file and install it.

Confirm AhnLab Security Agent Installation

Check if the agent is successfully installed.

• Check Icon in the Taskbar: You can check an icon added to the taskbar.

• Remove or Change Program: You can check AhnLab Security Agent installed in Control Panel > Programs and Features > Programs and Features.

Delete AhnLab Security Agent

Whether the AhnLab Security Agent can be deleted or not depends on the direction of the policy set by the management console to maintain security of the agent. For more information on agent deletion policy of management console, check Agent Settings.

• If agent policy is set to ‘Allow after password input’: An agent can be deleted after correctly entering the password set by the administrator.
• If agent policy is set to ‘Allow after OTP authentication’: An agent can be deleted after correctly entering the OTP set by the administrator.
• If agent policy is set to ‘Always allow’: An agent can be deleted at any time.
• If agent policy is set to ‘Always deny’: An agent cannot be deleted.

If you forget the password or OTP that is required to delete the agent, please contact the administrator.
