Installation Overview

Prerequisites

The prerequisites for installing CPP Manager are follows:

• AhnLab CPP can only be installed on a 64-bit Intel server, CentOS 7 (x86_64).
• AhnLab CPP cannot be installed on other OS, including CentOS 7 i386 PAE, Red Hat 7 and Windows.
• Account and Permission Settings: If you installed an account management software or changed the PAM, you cannot create an account and system operation may fail. You can only create existing accounts or use accounts already created by the account management software.

Install Program

You can get the install program via the following methods.

• Download manually: You can receive the install program as a software package or in a CD-ROM. The software package will contain common package, database, and package per license. The CD-ROM will contain an installable CentOS 7.0 (x86_64) for the software type.
• Download via marketplace:  You can access the marketplace to directly download the install file.

Install Method

The overview of the installation process is shown below. Please refer to the relevant pages for more information.

1. Install CentOS 7 (x86_64). (For details, see CentOS Installation.)
2. Install the AhnLab CPP server. (For details, see Server Installation.)
3. Configure the initial setup for the admin console. (For details, see Initial Setup.)
4. Add the agent install file for users. (For details, see Adding the Agent Install File.
5. You can start managing the agent from the admin console after the user successfully downloads and installs the install file.

Caution

Before installing CPP, make sure to check for any system and network settings that may crash.

After Installation

Changing the system settings may cause the account management software to change the account ID and password. This may lead to system operation failure.

• Use CLI commands to change AhnLab CPP's account information, file and directory permissions.
• Execute CLI commands using a Root account or AhnLab CPP account. If you change the account information and permissions, you must restart AhnLab CPP.
• Manage through the admin console after the initial configuration by CLI.
